Erin Flynn, MS OTR/L
Consultant and Workshop Facilitator
Hi, I’m Erin Flynn, an occupational therapist with a special focus on pediatrics and sensory integration. Over the last fifteen years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, adults, and families in private outpatient clinics, public and private schools, and community settings.. In 2019, I completed the Early Relational Health Fellowship at UMass Boston and co-created The Parenting with PRISM Workshop with my colleague Melanie Salort. PRISM is a welcoming, community-based parent group that helps families better understand challenging behaviors through sensory and attachment-informed perspectives.
I am certified in the Program of Essential Competencies in Sensory Integration and have additional training in oral motor programs, therapeutic listening, and trauma-informed care.
As a parent of several neurodiverse children, I understand firsthand both the challenges and the joy that can come with raising children with diverse needs. My own experiences—and the support I received along the way—inspired the development of the PRISM workshop and continue to guide my passion for helping children and caregivers build connection, confidence, and positive relationships.

Melanie Salort, OTR/L IMH-E
Consultant and Workshop Facilitator
Hi, I am Melanie Salort. I have been practicing as an occupational therapist for over 20 years and am passionate about working with children and their families. With advanced training in sensory integrative processing and early relational health, I have rooted my work in combining science, curiosity, and compassion to better understand behavior, regulation, and relationships.
I believe that meaningful progress happens through partnership. I place parents and caregivers at the center of the therapeutic process. This is what led to the co-creation of Parenting with PRISM with my colleague, Erin. It is an opportunity to empower parents and caregivers with the understanding and tools they need to create lasting change.
As the parent of two teenagers, I know firsthand that no amount of professional training can fully prepare you for the beautifully complex journey of parenting. That lived experience brings an extra layer of empathy, authenticity, and connection to every family I meet.

Peg Ingolia, OT, OTD, MS, OTR
Workshop Facilitator
Hi I'm Peg Ingolia. My extensive clinical background includes program development and oversight; client assessment and intervention in private practice, clinic, residential, and educational settings; and consultation with community, educational, and private agencies.
Mentoring among therapists of all experience levels is a special interest and one such interprofessional mentoring experience led the development of an interprofessional practice model within a specialty sensory integration clinic.
Additional academic and scholarly efforts include equitable supports for families and communities experiencing sensory processing disorders and trauma, with particular interest in the effects of trauma on the occupations of parents.
